Akshi Tarpanam
In sanskrit 'Akshi' means eyes and 'Tarpan' means nourishment. This is a rejuvenating eye treatment in which medicated ghee is kept in the eyes for a certain period of time. For healthy people, this will help to nourish the eyes, to increase eyesight and it will help dry, rough, tired and injured eyes. It is also used to help those who suffer from eye diseases such as Night Blindness, Cataract, Blurring of vision, stiffness and roughness of eyes. Subconjunctival Hemorrhage, inflammatory lesions of the eye, Glaucoma, Corneal Ulcer, pain in the eye and decreased secretion of lacrimal fluid.
